Job summary

Tesker Manufacturing Corporation in Saukville, WI, is seeking a Machinist – Grinder Support for a three 12-hour shift pattern that yields a 3-day weekend each week. You will finish tapering dies and support CNC thread grinding operators, with prior mill/lathe experience preferred but not required for thread grinding alone.

Responsibilities include setup, inspection, and tooling coordination, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality and efficiency in a busy grinding department.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and understand machining dimensions.
• Familiar with micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and prioritize in a grinding department.
• Willingness to work a unique second-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate Bridgeport mills and engine lathes for the final tapering operation.
• Remove completed dies from tooling and arbors for next jobs.
• Provide tooling and setup support to CNC thread grinding operators.
• Set up and adjust manual machine tools for close-tolerance work.
• Select, prepare, and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Read blueprints, routings, process sheets, and job instructions.
• Inspect finished work to verify dimensions and quality.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and inspection tools.
• Maintain organized workflow in the grinding department.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
