Job summary

R & L Spring Company is seeking a Machinist / Coil Forming Operator for the Lake Geneva, WI facility. This full-time role on the 2nd shift (3:30pm–12:00am) involves operating coil forming and wire-forming machines, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality through in-process checks.

The position requires basic mechanical aptitude, ability to read instructions, and willingness to adhere to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Experience with reading customer blueprints helpful.
• Familiarity with quality checks and data entry using tablets.

Machinist / Coil Forming Operator

Location: Lake Geneva, WI

Shifts: 2nd Shift - 3:30pm - 12:00am

Pay: Competitive pay. Shift differential: 2 nd shift: $1.50/hour

Job Summary

The Coil Wire form operator under general supervision, will be required to operate various coiling/wire forming machines and perform associated tasks to help support the department and produce quality products for our customers in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate coiling, wire form and four slide machines
• Monitors machines for failures and notify setup individual of issues.
• Adhere to all quality requirements and perform all required in-process checks and data collection inputs.
• Notify supervisor/Team Leader if nonconformances are found.
• Complete necessary paperwork and traveler documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Packing & handling of completed parts.
• Follow R&L workmanship and quality guidelines
• Abides by all R&L policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook
• Abides by all R&L safety standards and requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience with manufacturing, machining, or Semi-automated production equipment preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and adjust semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and machine performance issues.Experience making machine setup adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements.
• Must be able to read and follow written work instructions
• Reading and understanding of customer blueprints
• Ability to use and understand electronic tablets for production data input.
• Ability to use and understand inspection measuring & and test equipment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferred manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and use hands regularly.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
