Job summary

National Beef Packing of Liberal, Kansas is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Maintenance Team. The Machinist will set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts per engineering drawings and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, measuring parts with precision instruments, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site role offering competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and working from drawings.
• Machining and inspection to meet quality standards.
• Ability to read English and communicate clearly.
• Lift up to 90 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with CNC and Haas controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Read blueprints and interpret work instructions.
• Select tooling and materials for each job.
• Measure and inspect parts with precision tools.
• Maintain safe work area and perform basic machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers on progress.
• Maintain compliance with Food Safety/GMP policies.
