Petersen is seeking a Machinist in Ogden, UT. The role involves building and machining parts from blueprints using manual and CNC machines under supervision. Ideal candidates have experience with blueprints, basic shop math, and a willingness to learn multiple machines.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing preferred.
• Basic shop math required.
• Ability to learn increasingly complex print requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down projects.
• Machine parts from blueprints and work instructions.
• Safely operate manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform inspections using standard measuring equipment.
• Support training and continuous improvement efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
