The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of heavy industrial machinist experience or a formal apprenticeship with 6000 hours of training, and must be able to document completed work and maintain equipment history.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years heavy industrial machinist experience or equivalent formal training with 6000 hours on-the-job.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and troubleshoot equipment.
• Proficiency with various machine tools and precision instruments.
• Capable of performing preventative maintenance and routine repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools and verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Read blueprints, fabricate or repair parts, and document work history.
• Perform maintenance: oil changes, greasing, preventive tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment using manuals and system understanding.
• Repair pumps, valves, sootblowers, and related equipment.
