Job summary

TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) in Missouri is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to start machines, change tooling and set up a family of CNC machines with minimal assistance.

Applicants should be able to read drawings, work from setup notes, and demonstrate knowledge of speeds and feeds. Mazak programming experience on the listed controls is required, along with at least three years in a machine shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years Mazak programming on listed controls.
• 2+ years programming CNC grinders.
• 3 years machine shop environment.
• Read and interpret safety manuals and instructions.
• Detail oriented and motivated with urgency.
• Multi-tasking across machines and tasks.
• Excel/Word familiarity is a plus.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years Mazak programming experience on at least one of the following controls T+, Fusion, MT PRO, M32, M+, Fusion, Matrix.
• At least 2 years programming CNC grinders.
• 3 years machine shop environment.
• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance manuals and instructions.
• Ability to identify issues and take appropriate action to correct the situation, Including notifying supervisor, or maintenance department.
• Detailed and quality orientated.
• Must be motivated and work with sense of urgency.
• Multi-tasking, running, operating more than one machine or required task at a time.
• Microsoft Excel and word familiarity preferred but not required.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Safety Glasses and steel/safety toed work boots are required.
• Other PPE equipment as required.
• Ear plugs in the clean up area

Work Environment

• Manufacturing plant shop environment
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
