Job Summary

Under specific and general instructions, utilize expertise in laying out metal and nonmetal stock, setting up and operating complex tools. Perform milling and material removal operations. Collaborate with engineering to resolve problems and develop new processes and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a safe workplace and protect the environment according to company policies and regulations.
2. Lay out metal and nonmetal stock; perform setup and operate manual and CNC multi-axis machining centers for milling, drilling, grinding, or turning.
3. Evaluate patterns and remove material as per operation sheets to meet customer specifications.
4. Ensure quality standards are met; adhere to specifications and procedures; pass OAP exam.
5. Record operating parameters accurately in appropriate documentation.
6. Maintain a clean work environment following 5S standards and regulations.
7. Support the development of a business culture aligned with company objectives related to cost, quality, process, schedule, and people.
8. Comply with policies regarding contracting with the U.S. Government.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience with precision measuring equipment.
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card due to security clearance requirements.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GKN experience.
• Experience machining metallic and composite materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and meet inspection standards.
• Intermediate mathematics skills.
• Willingness to work in a repetitive production environment as part of a team or independently.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good vision with correction.
• Ability to work in loud environments and wear PPE as required.

Compensation Range

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
