Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles, CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for a Machinist A. The LA facility employs ~250 people and designs, manufactures, and delivers hydraulic components for OEM and aftermarket markets.

The role requires setting up complex parts, interpreting drawings with GD&T, inspecting with precision tools, and finishing to tight tolerances. Shift: 1:45pm–10:15pm, Mon-Fri; pay $30.40–$45.60/hr with a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years experience in machining, honing or lapping parts in a manufacturing environment.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status.
• No relocation benefit; only candidates within 50 miles of 90039 will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up complex parts and operate machines without supervision.
• Interpret plans, work orders, blueprints or drawings to determine the required work; read GD&T.
• Inspect parts for quality using micrometers, calipers, air gauges and comparators.
• Finish parts with different materials to close tolerance without supervision.
• Keep work area clean and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Adjust tool offsets and speeds for multiple materials as needed.

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Machinist A-2nd shift at our Los Angeles, CA facility!The hourly range for this position is $30.40 - $45.60; plus a $2 increase for shift differential per hour. The hours for second shift are 1:45pm - 10:15pm Monday - Friday.Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles, CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for a Machinist A. The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.Essential Functions:Capability to setup complex parts and operate machine without supervision.Interprets plans, work order, blueprints or drawings to determine the necessary work required, full understanding of GD&T.Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using the appropriate measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, air gages and comparators.Finishes all parts with different materials to close tolerance without supervision.Examines surface of work piece for defects before starting work.Must meet production and quality requirements at all times, always keep work area clean.Ability to modify machining feed and speeds on multiple material types and select tooling, gauges as/if required.Uses measuring tools, air gauges, micrometers and other inspection tools to verify part quality.Replaces worn tools, inspect parts and adjust tool offsets as needed.Must be a team player and follow all safety rules and regulations.Drives for continuous process improvementsQualifications:Basic Qualifications:• High school diploma or a GED from an accredited institution• Minimum of 7 years experience in machining, honing or lapping parts in a manufacturing environment.• This position requires access to export-controlled information.
