Eaton Corporation’s Los Angeles facility is seeking a CNC Machinery Mechanic B-1st Shift to repair, install, and maintain CNC machinery and production equipment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, collaboration with operators, and routine preventive maintenance.

Ideal candidates have CNC repair experience, the ability to read electrical schematics, and a willingness to work outdoors. 5:30am–2:00pm, Monday–Friday, with full Eaton benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year CNC repair/maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
• Relocation not offered; reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles facility (90039) to be considered.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and lubricate parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Operate forklift and scissor lift.

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Machinery Mechanic B- 1st Shift at our Los Angeles, CA plant (Near Glendale Metro). Core 1st shift hours for this role are 5:30am - 2pm Monday - Friday.

With almost 300 employees, the Los Angeles facility designs and manufactures quality valves, regulators, and other fluid controls used mostly by the Aerospace Industry.

What you’ll do:

The Fabrication Mechanic will be repairing, installing, adjusting, or maintaining industrial production equipment and CNC Machining equipment with minimal supervision.

In this function you will:

• Troubleshooting and repairs to plant machines, facility infrastructure and related equipment.
• Collaborate with operators to observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions and replace defective parts.
• Perform test-runs on repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
• Support installation of new and/or used manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Clean and lubricate parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Forklift and scissor lift operation.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
• Minimum of one year of CNC repair/ maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade
• Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.

Preferred:

• Four (4) years or more of documented CNC repair maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade preferred
• Background in machining and electrical equipment
• Experience with hydraulic systems

Position Criteria:

• Basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming
• Basic understanding and ability to read electrical/mechanical blueprints, schematics, manuals and procedures
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of municipal electrical code applicable to installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Experience repairing machine shop equipment including CNC machines.
• Must adhere to and support Eaton’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
• Must be able to work under minimum supervision, and be self-motivated.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in both hot and cold weather.
• Ability to read and write English proficiently.
• Basic computer skills
