Responsibilities

• DeburringpartsBuffer-Tumbler-Under-Scope-Benchwork


• Performslesscompletemachineoperationsoralimitednumberofmachinetoolssuchas drill presses, lathes powersaws, shears, grinders, punchpresses, honingmachines, etc.


• Performsmachineoperationsundersupervision,andallworkis frequentlychecked.


• Willchangeand/orsharpencuttingtoolduringoperations,assupervised.


• Willbe required to maintaintolerances by the use ofdialindicators,micrometers,pin gauges and other measuring equipment.


• Required to read/understand simple blueprints (i.e.OD/ID, material requirements,limittolerances).


• Notifiesappropriatepersonnelofanyknownoperationorprocessirregularities.


• Maintainsequipmentfordailyuseandkeepsworkingareasafe,cleanandorderly.


• Willmakesimplesetupsundersupervision.


• Reads,understandsandadherestoShopSafetyRegulations.


• Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Minimumofsix(6)monthsorlessshopequipmentoperationexperience.


• Mustdemonstratemanualdexterity.


• Abletounderstand/followwrittenandverbalinstructions.


• Shop math requirements such as understanding high school mathematics,familiarly withandunderstanding measuringscales,andabletoconvertfractions todecimals.
