Job summary

GD Energy Products, Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC machines and lathes for production parts. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tools, and maintaining quality while following safety rules.

The position offers a Friday-Sunday schedule with potential overtime and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K. Prior CNC experience or apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship required or minimum 1-year experience with CNC boring mill/lathe machines which includes proper set up and operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and plans.

Responsibilities

• Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
• Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
• Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
• Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
• Overtime, including potential for nights and weekend shifts may be required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Cross training other employees to run multiple workstations as needed.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and dependability.

Job Summary:

Set up, program and operate various types of CNC machine and/or lathes, to perform operations on individual or quantity production, tooling, maintenance and/or experimental parts. Schedule is Friday - Sunday 6 AM - 6 PM CST. All employees on third shift will be compensated for a full 40 hours.
