You will work with lathes, milling machines, grinders, and related equipment to support safe, efficient production. Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM; training on 1st Shift for up to 6 months, 6:30

Qualifications

  • Typically 3 years of machining and blueprint-reading experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
  • Machine operation and precision measurement skills.
  • Ability to interpret detailed work instructions, technical drawings, blueprints, specs, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete required documentation accurately.

  • Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment to fabricate, assemble, and repair precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, torque specs and engineering requirements.
  • Test and adjust machines using PLC screens to ensure safe, efficient operation and product quality.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and service equipment to support reliable production.
  • Complete machine setups using bills of materials and pick lists.
  • Identify and report issues with machinery or parts to supervisors.

What You'll Do as a Machinist
  • Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other mechanical equipment to fabricate, assemble, and repair precision parts, including changing sensors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, torque specifications, and engineering requirements to maintain accurate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Test and adjust machines, including making equipment adjustments using PLC screens, to support safe, efficient operation and product quality.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and service equipment to help ensure reliable production performance.
  • Use pick lists and bills of materials to accurately complete machine setups.
  • Identify and report issues with machinery or parts to supervisors for resolution.
  • Follow applicable Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Help train less experienced team members on applicable work processes and equipment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is an on-site, hands‑on manufacturing position involving work with lathes, milling machines, grinders, precision parts, and related production equipment. The role requires safely setting up, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing machinery while following applicable Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
