Machinist 2nd and 3rd shift - $2,000 sign-on bonus

Join Kratos Defense and Security Solutions as a Machinist for 2nd and 3rd shifts and receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Summary

Set up, operate, or program various machines (HAAS, FADAL, MATSUURA) to produce quality parts efficiently and cost-effectively.

Essential Job Functions

• Receive instructions via verbal communication and detailed prints/routings.
• Set up and operate CNC machining centers.
• Perform machining operations such as boring, turning, milling, drilling, reaming, etc.
• Construct and assist with fixtures, jigs, and tools.
• Produce parts for shelters, prototypes, and maintenance.
• Assist with repairs to parts, fixtures, and machines.
• Perform general tasks like moving materials, cleaning, and inspection.
• Use measuring tools for inspection and ensure compliance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Supply personal hand tools and measuring devices.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and operating Vertical Milling CNCs.
• Basic shop math skills, understanding of measurement tools, and blueprint reading.
• Basic computer skills; CNC Mill Setup and Operations Certification from NIMS is preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Shop floor environment.
• Ability to stand, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
• Tolerance for noise and hazardous conditions with proper PPE.
