The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from prints, setting up jobs, holding tight tolerances, and producing quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports both production and short-run / repair work.**Shift Hours are Monday-Friday 5:45AM-2:15PM****Key Responsibilities*** Set up and operate **CNC mills and CNC lathes*** Operate **manual mills, manual lathes, drill presses, band saws, and precision grinding equipment*** Read and interpret **engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions*** Select proper tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipment* Inspect parts using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, etc.)* Make basic program edits at the machine as needed (offsets, wear, minor changes)* Maintain part quality and meet production requirements* Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized* Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures* Communicate issues related to tooling, materials, or machine performance to supervision**Required Qualifications*** Experience running **CNC milling and turning equipment*** Experience operating **manual mills and lathes*** Ability to hold close tolerances and perform precision work* Strong understanding of machining fundamentals (feeds, speeds, tooling, materials)* Ability to read blueprints and use standard inspection tools* Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on 2nd shift**Preferred Qualifications*** CNC setup experience* Experience with **short-run or job shop work*** Experience with **precision grinding** (surface or cylindrical)* Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experienceThis role has competitive pay and will be closer to the higher part of range that is shown, based on experience-**WE HAVE:*** A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
