Job description

Tempel is looking to add a Machinist to our team. This individual is responsible for assembling simple parts into finished ones using lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses. As a Machinist, one must perform accurate and timely machining duties as an organized self-starter that meets or exceeds quality and delivery requirements.

1st Shift - Monday through Friday 6am - 2pm.

Pay rate for this position is $26 to $32/hr.

Responsibilities

1. Operates lathes and Bridgeport type mills and performs fit-ups of simple parts.
2. Reads micrometers, dial indicators, vernier calipers and blueprints.
3. Performs basic math related to machining of parts.
4. Sharpens tools.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

1. Safety conscious of self and others.
2. Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined space training provided.
3. CPR, First Aid, and WI Safety Training provided.
4. Complete knowledge of SOP manual.
