Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment to manufacture precision parts according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and measurements using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Monitor machine operation, including feed rates and speeds, to ensure quality and accuracy.
Precision Fabrication:
  • Manufacture precision components by cutting, grinding, machining, and shaping various metals and materials.
  • Ensure all parts meet required specifications, quality standards, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and controls to correct any production issues or deviations.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments or minor repairs.
  • Communicate major equipment concerns with supervisors and coordinate with maintenance teams when needed.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve machining processes, efficiency, and product quality.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA/ANSI standards, and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Properly use required PPE and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Identify and report safety hazards or equipment concerns.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to improve machining processes.
  • Provide feedback on design improvements, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
  • 3+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience operating manual and CNC machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
