Job summary

Luminator Technology Group is hiring a CNC Machinist at our Plano, TX facility. You will operate CNC lathes/mills, interpret drawings, program and optimize machining processes, and ensure parts meet stringent quality standards.

Candidates should have 2+ years of CNC lathe/mill experience, a HS diploma or GED, and familiarity with CAD/CAM software. The role demands strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain acceptable reject and production rates.
  • Verify part compliance using calipers and micrometers.
  • Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine required materials and dimensions.
  • Select and set up appropriate machines (e.g., lathes), position and load materials, and handle fixtures, jaws, chucks, spindles, collets, pads, and bar feeder inputs.
  • Plan the sequence of steps for assignments, including programming input or corrections.
  • Determine and program batch sizes and machine speeds.

Job description

Join our aerospace manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and play a vital role in producing high-quality, precision-engineered components that support critical applications. What You’ll Do

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience on a CNC lathe/mill.

Education: High school diploma/GED required. Technical school degree or certificate preferred.

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in CNC machine programming (G-code, M-code).
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or Autodesk Fusion).
  • Ability to operate CNC machine digital interfaces, set parameters, and input production data.
  • Basic computer literacy for file management, data entry, and use of standard office software
    (e.g., Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to use digital measurement tools and quality control software.
