The Advance Group is hiring experienced CNC Machinists and Machine Operators for direct-hire opportunities with a manufacturer of automotive components. The Advance Group is hiring experienced CNC Machinists and Machine Operators for direct-hire opportunities with a manufacturer of automotive components made primarily from aluminum and steel. These positions are ideal for skilled machinists with CNC setup, programming, operation, and troubleshooting experience who can produce precision‑machined parts to tight tolerances. Earn $30–$34 per hour while working a four‑day night‑shift schedule, Monday through Thursday. Successful candidates will be comfortable working independently, solving machining problems, and maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and production accuracy. What Does a CNC Machinist Do?

A CNC Machinist sets up, programs, operates, and troubleshoots computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. In this role, you will:

• Set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines, including Mazak lathes, Haas mills, and boring mills.
• Operate CNC turning centers, 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, CNC grinders, and related equipment.
• Machine automotive components made primarily from aluminum and steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Load raw materials, select tooling, enter programs, and adjust machine settings.
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.
• Perform in‑process inspections using appropriate measuring tools to verify dimensions and print specifications.
• Machine precision components to tolerances as tight as ±0.001 inch.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve production problems independently, particularly during the night shift.
• Complete routine machine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Follow established safety procedures and current good documentation practices (CGDP).
• Record production data and complete in‑process inspection documentation accurately.

CNC Machinist Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 3 years of boring mill experience or a machinist journeyman’s certificate.
• Experience setting up, programming, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machinery.
• Familiarity with Mazak lathes, Haas mills, and boring mills.
• Experience with CNC turning centers, 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, and CNC grinders.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience machining aluminum and steel components; automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
• The ability to measure and machine parts to tight tolerances, including ±0.001 inch.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• The ability to work independently with limited supervision during night-shift operations.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and accurate production documentation.

CNC Machinist Pay, Schedule, and Employment Details

Hourly pay: $30–$34, based on experience and qualifications.

Shift: Night shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–5:30 AM.

Training: First‑shift training may be required for up to three months.

Employment: Direct hire.

Location: Toledo, Ohio.
