Job description:

Job Overview: DIRECT HIRE ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE, INCLUDING WEEKENDS. NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal and plastic components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality measurement will ensure the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while honing your technical skills in a dynamic environment.

  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools using Fanuc or similar control systems.

  • Develop and modify CNC G-code programs for various machining operations, including milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.

  • Perform machine setup procedures, including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

  • Conduct precision measurements during manufacturing processes to ensure parts meet strict tolerances using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to M-code (machine code), tooling wear, or mechanical faults; perform manual machining when necessary.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate power tools and hand tools safely.

  • Participate in quality inspections by verifying dimensions with measurement tools and ensuring parts meet specifications before final approval.

  • Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles; assist with machine maintenance and tooling adjustments as needed.

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with a strong understanding of CNC programming (G-code/M-code).

  • Hands/'on expertise with CNC milling machines, CNC lathes (including CNC lathe operations), grinders, and manual machining equipment.

  • Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for interpreting design files.

  • Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints and understanding complex technical drawings.

  • Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus but not required.

  • Familiarity with measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines for quality control purposes.

  • Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, machine calibration, and maintenance routines.

  • Basic math skills for calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, and speeds.

  • Experience working with Fanuc or other CNC control systems; understanding of CNC G-code programming standards.

  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast- paced manufacturing environment.

Join us if you’re passionate about precision machining and eager to advance your skills in a supportive setting that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement!
