Job summary

Andritz Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Machinist to join our Spokane-area team.

This hands-on role requires operating horizontal/vertical lathes and mills, using micrometers and calipers, and reading drawings to produce high-quality parts. You will work with production planning, ensure documentation and quality compliance, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while collaborating with coworkers in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of machinist experience in a machine shop.
• 3 years of experience with various metals and complex part making.
• 2 years of experience with large multi-axis CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate various horizontal and vertical lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, and other machine tools as assigned.
• Use metal cutting tooling.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments as assigned.
• Rig loads and operate overhead cranes.
• Read drawings and make sketches.
• Interact with and clearly communicate with co-workers in a team-like atmosphere.
• Stand on your feet at least 8 hr per day.
• Dead lift at least 60 lb.
• Assist with production planning.
• Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
• Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
