Operate CNC Machines for forming and cutting of metal components. Preference given for experience with Haas milling machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set-up and operate various CNC machines for forming and cutting of metal components.

Load heavy sheets of material by forklift and/or hoist onto cutting bed or associated surfaces.

Downloading and understanding CNC programs.

Removal of parts and staging for further production.

Use and understand various paperwork, bar code system for tracking projects, prints, & tech standards.

Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance on the equipment.

Continually participate in additional training related to the job.

Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.

Regular, consistent attendance.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts, high pressure water or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with hoist available, repetitively use right hand for firm/heavy grasping, and repetitively use left hand for firm/heavy grasping. The employee is frequently required to repetitively use right hand for simple/light grasping and repetitively use left hand for simple/light grasping. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with hoist available. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear instructions from others.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or 2 years CNC related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Waterjet experience preferred but not required.

Training, Certifications, Licenses

Fork lift license required.
