Job summary

Cosma International, Magna’s global automotive group, is seeking a skilled CNC/Milling Technician in Piedmont, South Carolina. You will operate CNC and horizontal milling machines, program with 2D/3D, and support quality and safety standards in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college, tech school, or apprenticeship.
• Familiar with Fanuc and Fidia controls and run 3- and 5-axis machines.
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints accurately.
• CAD experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and horizontal milling machines, including 2D/3D programming.
• Operate a variety of small machines, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure parts stay within tolerance.
• Provide guidance to Tool & Die Associates as assigned.
• Follow all safety and plant rules; maintain tool stock and 5S housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Machines and Horizontal Milling Machines. This includes making programs, using 2D and 3D, all accurately and efficiently.
• Operate a variety of small machines, tools, and equipment.
• Carry out quality checks on an ongoing basis to ensure job is within tolerance.
• Provide continuous guidance to Tool & Die Associates as assigned.
• Abide by all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations.
• Maintain stock of all machine cutters and carbide inserts.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Perform other duties as required.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Experience / Technical Training

• Familiar with Fanuc and Fidia controls and run 3 and 5-axis machines.
• Preferred CAD experience.
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints accurately
