Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Neenah, Wisconsin, seeks a skilled Mechanical Fabrication Specialist to fabricate mechanical components for test equipment used in manufacturing and prototype development.

You will develop CAD/CAM drawings, lead designs, and drive process improvements. The role requires experience with CAD/CAM tools, CAD/CAM design and CAM programming, and the ability to work in a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality parts and assemblies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 4+ years of related experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Using CAD-CAM tools; develop drawings of mechanical components and successfully fabricate, utilize the document control system.
• Participates in design reviews to ensure equipment hardware designs are optimized for durability, construction efficiency, serviceability, and consistency with established practices.
• Leads ongoing efforts to improve the fabrication process so as to improve quality and/or reduce cost.
• Leads the fabrication and assembly of components/complete systems based on designs or as directed by engineering.
• Leads CAD designs for parts/systems and ability to create CAM programs for machining
• Provide quality products and services to all internal and external customers.

Our commitment to pay range transparency fosters an equitable workplace, where everyone can feel valued. The annual compensation range for this position is stated below. The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level.

Salary Range: $52,800.00 - $79,200.00

Purpose Statement

To fabricate mechanical components for test equipment for use in manufacturing and product development prototypes.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Using CAD-CAM tools; develop drawings of mechanical components and successfully fabricate, utilize the document control system.
• Participates in design reviews to ensure equipment hardware designs are optimized for durability, construction efficiency, serviceability, and consistency with established practices.
• Leads ongoing efforts to improve the fabrication process so that Plexus Engineering Solutions remains competitive. Identify and make suggestions for process improvement so as to improve quality and/or reduce cost.
• Leads the fabrication and assembly of components/complete systems based on designs or as directed by engineering.
• Leads CAD designs for parts/systems and ability to create CAM programs for machining
• Provide quality products and services to all internal and external customers.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 4 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
