Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Machinist - 1st shift, Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. The Machinist operates CNC and conventional machines to fabricate parts, load parts, detect malfunctions, run production lots, communicate with co-workers, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Supports Sonaca North America’s Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and other policies, emphasizing customer satisfaction, quality, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teamwork, accountability, and respect for people.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Load/unload parts on CNC machines to support maximum spindle utilization.
• Inspect and monitor parts as they are completed.
• Deburr and blend machined parts.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Other responsibilities include performing basic math calculations, reading blueprints, demonstrating attention to detail, and reading measuring equipment (calipers/micrometers).

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred; candidates without may need to pass a pre-employment assessment.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; ITAR/EAR clearance required.
• 2 years’ CNC machining experience or enrollment in a machining program at a technical college.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Work in noise levels from quiet to loud.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
