BRECOflex is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal and plastic components using HAAS CNC machines. You’ll set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes, ensuring each part meets exact specifications. This position requires a solid understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience:
·Experience:
oMinimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist, preferably with at least 3 years’ experience with HAAS CNC machines.
oExperience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes
·Technical Skills:
oProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
oStrong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operations.
oProficiency in using precision measurement instruments and tools.
·Other:
oStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
oAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Functions:
·Set-Up and Operation:
oSet up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce parts for work order specifications, drawings, and internal standards.
oLoad material into CNC machine using different clamping technologies, select appropriate tooling, touch off tools, monitor tool condition during operation.
oAdjust machine settings and process parameters, such as speeds, feeds, and cutting tools, to optimize production efficiency and ensure highest product quality.
oDebur parts – utilizes deburring equipment to finish parts.
·Programming:
oInterpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to write and modify CNC programs and macros.
oFully understand geometrical product specifications.
oUtilize G-code to modify available CNC codes and create new code to manufacture custom parts with tight tolerances.
oTroubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to programs to ensure optimal machine performance, product quality and tool life.
·Quality Control:
oInspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
oUse precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions.
oUse CMM to inspect features with critical tolerances.
oPerform first-piece and in-process inspections, adjusting as necessary to maintain quality.
·Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
oPerform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
oDiagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, work with maintenance to request repairs and adjustments as needed.
·Continuous Improvement:
oCollaborate with engineering and leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
oProvide input and share experience to enhance productivity and reduce cycle and set up times.
oMentor and train junior machinists and apprentices in CNC machining best practices.
·Safety and Compliance:
oAdhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
oEnsure compliance with Company policies and industry standards, including ISO quality requirements.
Physical/Environmental:
·Must be able to lift 49 lbs. to waist height.
·Prolonged periods of standing (90% of shift)
