Machinist - Bolt Threader

Job Description:

The profession of a Bolt Threader entails efficiently threading bolts to specific dimensions and tolerance levels, ensuring accurate fit and functionality. Responsible for operating threading machines and performing quality checks to meet engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain bolt threading machines to produce custom bolts of various sizes and specifications
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to ensure accurate threading of bolts
• Setup machines by installing necessary dies and adjusting settings for proper alignment and thread pitch
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
• Keep work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications related to bolt threading
• Experience with operating bolt threading machines end tools
• Knowledge of different types of bolts and threading techniques
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with bolt threading machines and tools
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting bolts to precise specifications
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues or concerns
• Commitment to workplace safety and following established protocols and procedures

Hourly Pay: $17.00-19.00

Work Hours: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
