Role Description

The Machinist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Goshen, IN. The Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and components, following blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Day-to-day responsibilities include measuring and inspecting parts for accuracy, adjusting machine settings, performing minor repairs, and documenting production activities. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules, following safety protocols, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The Machinist will support continuous improvement by reporting equipment issues and suggesting process enhancements that improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to set up and operate manual and/or CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, or grinders.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions, with strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
• Knowledge of basic shop math, tolerances, and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, machining, or industrial environment; apprenticeship or vocational training in machining is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site full time, stand for extended periods, and lift materials as required within reasonable limits.
• Strong problem-solving skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in machining or industrial technology are an advantage.
