Job summary

Hot Shot Fabrication LLC. in Colorado is seeking a skilled Machinist to drive precision metalworking in a high-quality shop environment. You will operate and set up CNC equipment, prove out programs, and ensure parts meet exacting specs using MasterCam and HAAS machines.

A 5+ year background and proven quality focus are essential. You will contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives, participate in training on CNC programming, measurement techniques, and process improvement while supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in machining or a related field.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude.
• Previous CNC operator experience or completed technical school coursework.
• Proficient in MasterCam and HAAS machine experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools in an ISO/prototype/job shop environment.
• Program and run 2 axis CNC horizontal and VTL mills as well as 3–5 axis CNC mills.
• Hold tight tolerances and perform first article inspections.
• Organize materials, requisition tooling and supplies, and manage workflow.
• Overtime may be required and compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities/Duties

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required as follows:

• In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes by delivering expertly crafted components that meet customer specifications and contribute to the overall success of our production operations
• Machine tool setup and operation experience in an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environment, utilizing complex documentation and verbal/written instruction
• Setup and operation of manual machine tools as required in support of CNC operations
• Setup and operation of 2 axis CNC horizontal & VTL mill and/or setup and operation of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and complete 1st article inspections
• Organizes, stages, and moves materials as required
• Evaluates and requisitions purchased tooling and supplies
• Overtime may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned
