Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Machinist in Fort Collins, CO to advance from Operator to Programmer. You will operate CNC lathe/mill setups, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet exact dimensions while supporting changeovers and basic edits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machining or machine shop experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use basic measurement tools.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining.
• Basic G-code or program editing knowledge is a plus.
• Mastercam experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical work in a shop.
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to follow direction.

Responsibilities

• Load material into CNC lathe/mill equipment with bar feeders.
• Read blueprints and verify part dimensions to specifications.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and pins.
• Make offsets to keep parts within tolerance.
• Identify signs of tool wear and report concerns to leadership.
• Track part quantities and prepare parts for the next operation.
• Support changeovers and make basic program edits as needed.
• Keep your machine and work area clean and organized.

Machinist – Manufacturing

Pay Range: $19-25/hr + DOE

Location: Fort Collins, CO

Position Type: Direct Hire

Hours: M-F: 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. (optional OT on Saturdays)
