Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Machinist for a company based in Decatur, Alabama. The role involves manufacturing precision components, operating manual and CNC machines, and ensuring high-quality output.

The position offers hourly pay at $20.00, a Monday–Friday day or alternate night schedule, and benefits through the agency. Candidates should have GD&T knowledge, a high school diploma, and machining experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Physical strength to lift/move heavy loads up to 50 pounds.
• Minimum 1 year machining experience preferred, 2-5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and machine settings.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with fabricators, welders, engineers, programmers and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

Machinist

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Machinist for a company based in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manufacture precision components, operate advanced machining equipment, and contribute to producing high-quality products.

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 3 00 p m to 11 3 0 pm.

Sunday through Thursday, 11 00 pm to 7 30 am.

Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Select and install all appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor machine repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with fabricators, welders, engineers, programmers, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

Machinist Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy up to 50 pounds.
• Minimum of 1 year machining experience preferred, 2-5 years of related experience.
