Qualifications

• Previous CNC Lathe and CNC Mill experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
• Experience working with automotive, racing, or performance drivetrain components is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Machine clutch components, flywheels, pressure plates, and other drivetrain parts to precise specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as required.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure production specifications are met.
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues.
• Assist with maintaining equipment and keeping the shop organized and clean.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.

CNC MACHINIST Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join a growing team specializing in the manufacturing and rebuilding of high-performance clutches and flywheels for race cars and performance vehicles in the Bessemer, AL area. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and setting up CNC lathes and CNC mills and possess a strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality.

Pay Rate

Starting at $18.00– $20.00 per hour with room for future increase

Schedule and Hours

7:30am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday

CNC Machinist – Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Machine clutch components, flywheels, pressure plates, and other drivetrain parts to precise specifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Full-time, temporary to hire
