Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Fabricator in Decatur, AL. The role involves reading blueprints, laying out materials, and operating hand and power tools to fabricate components to exacting specifications.

Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour, with pay based on experience. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, and this is a temporary-to-hire position offering benefits after tenure.

• Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or production concerns.

Fabricator

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Fabricator for a company based in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality components by applying technical, precision, and craftmanship to meet company standards.

Pay Rate

$20.00 or per hour based on experience

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 3 00 pm to 11 30 pm. Sunday through Thursday, 11 00 pm to 7 30 am.

Fabricator Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Measure, mark and lay out materials for cutting and fabrication.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of fabrication equipment.
• Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or production concerns.

Fabricator Qualifications and Requirements

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and measurements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy up to 50 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude.
