Job summary

Hot Shot Fabrication in Colorado is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our precision metalworking team. You will operate and set up CNC equipment, ensuring components meet exact customer specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience, proficiency with MasterCam, and hands-on work with HAAS machines in ISO/AS/MIL environments. Overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Proficient in MasterCam and reading complex docs.
• Experience with HAAS machines.
• Able to work in ISO/AS/MIL prototype environments.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL mills.
• Setup and operate 3–5 axis CNC mills.
• Hold tight tolerances and perform first article inspections.
• Organize, stage, and move materials as required.
• Evaluate and requisition tooling and supplies.
• Overtime may be required.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing practices and training.

Responsibilities/Duties

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required as follows:

• In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes by delivering expertly crafted components that meet customer specifications and contribute to the overall success of our production operations
• Machine tool setup and operation experience in an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environment, utilizing complex documentation and verbal/written instruction
• Setup and operation of manual machine tools as required in support of CNC operations
• Setup and operation of 2 axis CNC horizontal & VTL mill and/or setup and operation of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC mills
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and complete 1st article inspections
• Organizes, stages, and moves materials as required
• Evaluates and requisitions purchased tooling and supplies
• Overtime may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned
