Work Days
Standard: Monday to Friday
Special cases: weekends may be required during travel

The Machinist will be responsible for machining parts to print and making sure the parts fit and function as intended. Applicant will operate vertical mills, manual lathes, surface grinder, and tapping machine. Common materials to be machined are carbon steel (multiple grades), aluminum (multiple grades), brass, stainless steel (not very common), and multiple types of plastic such as UHMW, Delrin, and in some instances Teflon.
Under minimum supervision, applicant will machine quality parts from raw block of material and route them through the shop accordingly.
The Machinist ideally has strong manual machining experience and as a benefit (not required) has tool building experience. A go-getter type personality with a strong desire to succeed will help the applicant thrive and grow in this position.
