Job summary

ATLAS INDUSTRIAL OUTSOURCING, LLC in Mobile, AL is seeking an Inside/Outside Machinist to join a team focused on efficiency and quality. Starting pay is $34-$38 per hour DOE, with extra incentives for field machining.

You will operate CNC lathe, milling, and line boring equipment while ensuring safety and adherence to company standards. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 18+ years, US Person status, and 2+ years of CNC machining experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at application.
• Proof of US Person status (permanent resident or citizen) required.
• No felony convictions of violent crimes within seven years.
• No felony convictions of drug crimes within three years.
• 2+ years minimum experience using CNC lathe, milling machine, and line boring machine.
• Willingness to submit to drug screen and background check.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Atlas is currently seeking an Inside/Outside Machinist for a client that is located in Mobile, AL. The purpose is to find a strong candidate to work within a team of Inside/Outside Machinists to achieve minimum production time, standards and quality in keeping with company policies, while maintaining a positive and motivated team environment. The starting pay is $34-$38 DOE with an extra incentive if you can perform field machining.

Responsibilities

• Safely rig equipment following all OSHA requirements
• Use CNC lathe, milling machine, and line boring machine
• Inspection of work, identification of potential problems, initiation of corrective actions
• Increase awareness of Quality procedures within department
• Ensure adherence to correct work procedures
• Perform as a productive working team member that meets daily goals set by the supervisor
• Contribute towards innovation / productivity improvements
• Assist in the control of waste elimination, e.g. materials, consumables etc
• Assist supervisor to maintain control of department equipment and its maintenance
• Ensure work area is left clean, all equipment and tools are stowed away safely and protected against damage
