Job summary

Ōnin Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist helper to assist in setup, operation, and adjustments of CNC or conventional machines. Work follows drawings and written instructions to fabricate replacement and new parts for repairs and prototypes.

The role requires basic metal knowledge, measurement skills, and the ability to read CNC programs. High school education with ~2 years of machining experience is typical, with opportunities to grow in a production environment.

Job Description

Under direct supervision, assists with the setup, operation, and adjustment of conventional or automatic machines such as Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) machines. Works from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts as well as for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment. Reads CNC programs. Work is routine and machining is performed to ordinary tolerances. Requires basic knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes. Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and two years of experience. Responsibilities:
