Job summary

Prime Management Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor in St. Louis, MO to lead daily Machining and Striding operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and mentor the machining team.

The role requires strong leadership and hands-on management of CNC machining, Lean/CI, and 6S practices. A proactive, performance-driven leader will advance continuous improvement and ensure adherence to customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience leading machining teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience with CNC machining, Lean/Continuous Improvement, and 6S

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Machining and Striding operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, and develop machining employees
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, and cross-training initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment, tooling, processes, and production flow
• Manage departmental staffing, resources, budgets, and performance
• Monitor key production, cost, and productivity metrics, and communicate results to management
• Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to develop and maintain SOPs and production procedures
• Lead cross-functional improvement efforts and promote accountability throughout the team
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and customer requirements

Salary: $50-$55/hour + overtime + performance incentives

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to lead their Machining and Striding operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can drive safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and employee development.

This opportunity is for a long-standing manufacturing company that specializes in high-complexity machined parts and assemblies, with capabilities including CNC machining, engineering, assembly, welding, painting, chemical processing, and NADCAP-certified inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily Machining and Striding operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, and develop machining employees
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, and cross-training initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment, tooling, processes, and production flow
• Manage departmental staffing, resources, budgets, and performance

Compensation

• $50–$55/hour + OT + performance incentives
• 96 hours of PTO in your first year, accrued from day one, plus 9 paid holidays and anniversary paid day off
