Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC, seeks a Site Quality Leader to head the Machining Quality organization across three shifts.

You will own internal and customer quality metrics and drive Right First Time improvements within the Cummins Operating System. You will partner with VPI/NBS teams to launch Legend and Barracuda lines with quality built in from the start, apply APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and IATF-aligned standards, and lead a hands-on quality team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated role competence in engineering or related field.
• Experience with quality systems and automotive/regulated environments.
• Licensing for export controls may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Machining Quality organization at the Rocky Mount site across three shifts.
• Own internal quality and customer quality metrics, driving RFT and cost of poor quality improvements.
• Partner with VPI/NBS teams to launch Legend and Barracuda lines with quality built in from the start.
• Develop a high-performing team of quality engineers and technicians.
• Champion continuous improvement using lean, 7-step problem solving, and Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods.
• Ensure adherence to IATF, APQP, and PPAP through audits and assessments.
