Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN is seeking a Senior Site Quality Engineer to lead quality improvements across manufacturing operations. You will drive defect prevention, process capability, and customer satisfaction while ensuring IATF and customer-specific requirements are met.

You will apply APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and capability studies to reduce variation, support product launches, and participate in audits. A strong collaborative, data-driven approach and project leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in automotive or regulated industries preferred.
• Licensing for export controls may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for quality and process capability.
• Resolve customer quality concerns with containment and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Support product launches and engineering changes with process readiness.
• Use data and statistics to identify trends and reduce variation.
• Conduct and support quality audits and cross-functional collaboration.
• Coach teams to foster quality ownership.
