EPITEC seeks a Quality Engineer in Pontiac, IL to support internal manufacturing quality with a machining focus. You will research and test product and process functionality, develop standards, investigate issues, and lead corrective actions. Strong root-cause analysis and data-driven decisions are essential.

The role requires a solid engineering background, manufacturing quality experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. On-site, 40 hours/week with potential overtime.

Formación

• Bachelor’s in engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years experience acceptable; internships count.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead investigations into quality issues: scrap, rework, customer complaints.
• Develop and implement corrective actions using 8D, FMEA, and fishbone methods.
• Use data to improve process capability and reduce variation.
• Analyze quality data, SPC charts, and defect trends.
• Prepare quality reports for management and cross-functional teams.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure conformity.
