Swoon is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract in Pontiac, IL. The role requires onsite work with relocation at your own expense if not local. Working hours are 7-3 with overtime as needed; eligibility for optional benefits.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in engineering or a master's with internships, strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities, and a track record in cross-functional teamwork and quality standards compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in quality roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher with internships.
• Problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to lead and influence teams.
• Knowledge of quality standards and process improvement.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Review and approve sampling procedures and documentation for quality data.
• Supervise programs to verify precision of production equipment and testing.
• Conduct training on quality control activities.
• Specialize in areas of quality control such as design, materials, process control, reliability.
• Direct workers in measuring and testing and data tabulation.
• Plan and direct development and maintenance of quality standards.
• Develop and initiate standards for inspection and evaluation across engineering domains.
