The Machining Process Engineer drives improvements in Turning, Milling, and Grinding (manual and CNC) to reduce rework, boost efficiency, and raise throughput across production areas. The role requires a strong technical background and project management with a continuous improvement mindset.

Competenze

• 4-year degree in engineering or a technical field from an accredited college (or a high school diploma/GED with 5+ years manufacturing experience).
• Ability to read and interpret OEM repair manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with engineers and technicians.
• Experience with process implementation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to design tooling and fixturing including GD&T and material selection.
• Proven capability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with shop safety procedures and equipment handling.
• CNC machining experience and programming knowledge.

Mansioni

• Evaluate issues with repair processes, engine components, and technical data to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with Production Managers to reduce rework and improve turnaround times.
• Develop or revise work instructions, tooling, and fixturing for production.
• Ensure process quality and testing requirements using FAA data and industry standards.
• Communicate progress and train other employees on process improvements.
