Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) is seeking an experienced ID/OD Grind Machinist Technician to machine turbine engine components to OEM specs in a modern Mentor, OH facility.

You will work with a team of skilled machinists across CNC VTL, Mill, Grind, and related operations, following safety protocols and technical drawings to deliver precise results for aerospace and marine customers.

Qualifications

• Five plus years’ experience operating vertical and horizontal Grind, Hone and Lathe equipment.
• Five plus years of experience in CNC programming, speeds/feeds and tooling.
• First article experience with production parts in a job shop environment.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and understanding of dimension-to-dimension relationships.
• Experience setting zero work offset and troubleshooting grinding processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal and vertical grind equipment to machine turbine engine components.
• Select, install and dress wheels; use fixtures and gauges for alignment and concentricity.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring devices and record findings.
• Follow instructions and participate in OJT/training programs as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of grinding processes and tooling.
