Job summary

Ditch Witch is seeking a Machine Operator II to operate multiple production machines and assist in assembly as needed. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up and monitoring equipment, and using hand tools for assembly.

You will also maintain production records via computer systems and support troubleshooting efforts. Candidates should have 18–36 months of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Typically, 18 to 36 months of directly related experience required; welding or mechanical repair preferred.
• Demonstrate and apply a higher degree of skill/knowledge in machining or fabrication.
• Have basic experience using mechanical repair and assembly tools.
• Be knowledgeable of SAP and be able to utilize the system.
• Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to move from process to process with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more production machines (lathes, mills, drills, saws, etc.) and assemble components as needed.
• Read information from blueprints.
• Set up, adjust, and operate production equipment and monitor performance.
• Set up fixtures, mount parts in fixtures, and perform mechanical assembly with hand tools.
• Inspect parts for defects using measuring tools and detect and correct issues.
• Perform basic operator maintenance and use a computer to check part locations and production records.
• Contribute to troubleshooting and strive to meet Safety, Quality, Productivity, Performance and Attendance metrics.
