Job summary

AGI Hi Roller in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Machine Operator I to safely operate basic steel processing equipment, including saws, Anglemaster, and CNC router systems under supervision. You will learn machine setup, material handling, and production procedures while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will collaborate with a Production Supervisor and peers to fabricate parts for custom grain conveyors, supporting a large production team committed to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines (saw, Anglemaster, CNC router) following standard work instructions.
• Load and unload raw steel materials and finished parts.
• Perform basic machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers with guidance.
• Read and interpret simple work orders, prints, and cut lists.
• Measure parts using basic tools to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor machine operations and report issues to supervisors or maintenance.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S practices).
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist experienced operators during complex setups or troubleshooting.
