Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture parts to spec while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Inspect parts using precision measurement equipment and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot processes and support tooling and fixture improvements.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and document manufacturing work.

Join our team in Mansfield, MA, where you will play a key role in producing high quality medical components that help improve patients' lives around the world. This is an opportunity to apply your CNC machining expertise, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and work alongside skilled engineers and toolmakers in a collaborative manufacturing setting.

What will you be doing?
  • Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment including milling, turning, grinding, drilling, tapping, honing, and EDM machinery
  • Manufacture precision medical components from raw materials while meeting quality, safety, and production requirements
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously and perform in process inspections using a variety of measuring and inspection equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, establish tool offsets and cutter compensation, and identify and replace worn tooling
  • Troubleshoot production and development issues and support process improvements
  • Partner with engineers and toolmakers on fixture design, cutting tool design, process development, and part design enhancements
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members
  • Complete manufacturing documentation and comply with FDA, QSR, company policies, and applicable quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including preventive maintenance activities
What will you need to be successful?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus vocational training, certification, or equivalent machining experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM machines
  • Ability to independently perform moderate machine setups and troubleshoot machining processes
  • Experience reading blueprints and performing simple to complex inspections using precision measurement equipment, optical comparators, and microscopes
  • Strong English communication and basic mathematics skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to work first shift

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $21.27/h - $31.97/h USD hourly and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications, job-related knowledge/skills, geographical location. You will be entitled to receive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage,401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.
