International Motors USA is seeking a Machining Manufacturing Technical Liaison to bridge Engineering, Maintenance and Operations. The role emphasizes safety, TAKT adjustment, RTM updates and continuous improvement to ensure engine components are machined to spec.

The position requires 2+ years in manufacturing or materials/inventory control, and a willingness to work 7:30 PM–6:30 AM on a Monday–Thursday schedule. Eligible candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Position Overview

The Machining Manufacturing Technical Liaison serves as a critical technical bridge between Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless machining of engine components by pro-actively identifying technical faults, driving root cause solutions, and maintaining the rhythm of production.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Works within the Production & Logistics (P&L) Way, reads and follows verbal and standard written work instructions (SWI), position standards, and standard operating procedures.

• Demonstrates role model level P&L Way attitudes & behaviors, core values, and excellent attendance.

• Practices safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines. Identifies and corrects or escalates potentially unsafe situations/conditions.

• Complies with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements; reports hazards, environmental risks, and incidents, uses required PPE; operates equipment safety, and helps maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

• Role model of the 100% mindset and takes full ownership and responsibility of position/station.

• Understands impact of work to outcomes and production interdependencies

• Demonstrates advanced level proficiency in the department’s core processes, with the ability to independently execute standard workflows and identify routine issues, escalating more complex problems as needed.

• Executes standard work within takt and demonstrates proper Andon utilization, exhibiting the courage to speak up, identify deviations, and initiate communication without hesitation. Exhibits the “Right from me” behavior.

• Collaborates with engineering on new solutions and new product introductions

• Maintains strong safety, normal situation, 5S standards, good organization of workspace, and housekeeping.

• Performs routine inspections on products, processes, and materials to ensure work output meets product specifications.

• Can explain issues and targets on the RTM board and take responsibility for countermeasures and actions.

• KeepsTeam Lead and Supervisor informed of anyissues or challenges.

• Effectively contribute with ideas across functions to enable collaboration.

• Ensures proper communication is shared and presented within the Real Time Management meeting (RTM), pulse meetings, and quality gates within assembly.

• Proactively communicates critical and detailed information to production Supervisor, Team Leader and Engineering.

• Responds and discerns the nature of line calls with urgency for appropriate resolution, delegation or escalation to the correct department or engineer.

• Initiates and executes problem solving activities and utilizes root cause analysis tools in partnership with production leadership and engineering teams.

• Actively solves problems within the work team, escalating for appropriate support and cross-functional teams as necessary.

• Actively mentors, trains and develops other team members

• Monitors the operation of the assembly line, identifies issues, and contributes to the identification of improvements in the manufacturing process and its equipment

• Receives deviations in assembly, develops action plans, completes all containment activities relating to deviations, ensures proper documentation of containment and creates action plans

• Supports the safe start up process of equipment prior to the start of production, identifies start up issues to maintenance to ensure timely fixes prior to start-up

• Adjusts TAKT panels in real time, according to production demands (scheduled start/stop, volume adjustments etc.)

• Performs routine inspections on products, processes, materials to assure work output meets specifications of shop floor paperwork

• May perform assembly and installation of parts using hand tools, air tools and/or power tools

• Contributes knowledge to improve Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

• May be required to work on assembly line due to business demands

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in materials, warehouse or inventory control

OR

• At least 2 years of manufacturing / production experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
