Union Electric Steel Corp - Valpo seeks a skilled machinist/laborer to set up and operate Tape Controlled Lathe, Conventional Lathe, Post Mill, or Milling Machine for rolls and shafts production. You will read work orders, position pieces with crane assistance, and ensure tolerances with precision gauges.

Formación

• Experience operating lathes and milling machines is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and prints.
• Maintain tool setups and perform basic measurements.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate tape controlled and conventional lathes for rolls and shafts.
• Read programs and work orders, position parts with crane assistance.
• Adjust tail stock, jaws, and fixtures to required tolerances.
• Check dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and assist in tool maintenance.
