Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a Crew Leader to coordinate a production cell and support services. You will assist training, communicate with management, and supervise with limited experience and direct supervision. Emphasis on safety, efficiency, and daily performance reporting.

The role requires basic knowledge of lumber metrics and production scheduling, and exposure to CI improvements. Compensation includes hourly pay with benefits, and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of production reporting and scheduling basics.
• Basic Excel/Word/Outlook skills.
• Familiar with lumber math, grades and species.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the work area runs to schedule and minimizes downtime.
• Keep work area and equipment safe and clean.
• Provide machine-specific safety training before operating equipment.
• Assist in production scheduling and balance workloads.
• Review pre-shift inspection sheets and address concerns.
• Monitor production sheets and communicate with staff.
• Check materials and finished products for quality per specs.
• Support CI improvements and safety initiatives.
• Lead Sunrise meetings and monthly safety talks.
• Direct activities per company policies and law.
• Communicate with employees and management as required.
• Support performance evaluations and production reporting.
