Job summary

Puffer-Sweiven, an Emerson Impact Partner, seeks a qualified technician to install and commission machinery protection, monitor asset health, and support system upgrades across the Central and Gulf Coast Texas region.

The role includes configuring industrial networks, troubleshooting hardware and software, and providing technical support to customers onsite and remotely. Strong communications and field experience required.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent with hands-on experience in instrumentation/electrical tech.
Minimum 3 years supporting industrial instrumentation, automation, controls, machinery monitoring, or reliability systems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot machinery protection and condition monitoring systems.
Configure vibration, process, and asset health monitoring devices and infrastructure.
Configure assets, alarms, databases, users, and reporting tools in configuration software.
Configure and troubleshoot Ethernet-based industrial networks; manage IPs, gateways, and connectivity.
Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting; compile detailed service reports.
